Grace Abounds

We all have much to be thankful for and many of us are realizing this even more so during this time of viral quarantine. With more solitude and time for reflection, we can see and appreciate all that we indeed have.   Grace abounds in every facet of our lives, in every direction, if we can look to see it. Webster's defines grace as: (Entry 1 of 2) 1a : unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification. b : a virtue coming from God. Wiki defines biblical grace as "used in the scriptures, refers primarily to enabling power and spiritual healing offered through the mercy and love of Jesus Christ."  This power, healing and love is offered to us all, to each of us, in every aspect of our lives, if we look, accept and receive. Receive it as it is offered to you as the divine gift that it is, then carry it forth to those around you and to the world and do it with the accompanying joy supplied you through the eternal love and gr

For Today: Reflect, Give Thanks, Take Action

“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Ps 118:24 For today, just reflect on your life as it is. Reflect on the moment, all that you have, the people you love. Reflection on gratitude will lift your mood and heal your thoughts. Though there are trying times, there is still always something good to be found, if we look; reasons to be thankful and no matter the circumstance, to rejoice and be glad. Ask yourself these questions today and every day:  For what are you grateful today?  Whom do you appreciate in your life?  In what ways big or small has God touched your life today? Actions to take: Prayerful thanks Find little ways to show those you love your appreciation (gifts, notes, cards, phone calls, text a smiley, running errands, prepare a nice dinner, do someone’s laundry) Journal the inspiration and guidance you have received. Taking a moment each day to reflect, give thanks and take action will help to fill your day

In Crisis Time to Put Faith into Action

Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast. Psalm 57:1 The world is in turmoil and panic with the outbreak of a fearful virus. It is up to each of us to now exercise our faith in staying calm and helping others. Amid crisis, we must put our trust and faith into action. We must turn to God and give over all fears and anxiety. While others around us and all over the world, are falling apart in chaos and panic, now is the time to draw on the faith which we have strengthened and cultivated. Faith can, and will, see us through. In addition to our faith, our trust in, and unity with, God will allow us to rise above the circumstances in which we find ourselves. Rising above the fear and panic will keep us calm, knowing, and able to help others and to do our part as needed. Crisis, whether small or big, are the times for which our faith prepa
