How Is Your Week Going To Go?

It’s a new week with a fresh chance to make it a great week. But that’s not possible , you say; things are going to come up, there will be stress at times, upsets may happen . . .   yes these are all true because that is life and these types of things are a part of every day and are unavoidable but it is our behavior and reactions that determine the outcome. Determining how your week is going to go is a simple matter of determining to turn it all over to God. Committing yourself to staying in touch with the Spirit is the key to how it all works out. Staying in touch means that you will: React Calmly When we stay in communion with the Spirit, we are able to react and/or stay calm in situations where we otherwise might loose control, say things we don’t mean, exhibit anger, etc. Staying in communion is like staying in a state of conscious meditation and prayer, asking and receiving with every situation, person or task, the calming flow of the Spirit; it is stayi

Look Upward

Closed in among the walls of society, A lone tree dances in the glint of the morning light, And I am reminded, that if I look upward, I can see the open sky. A Virtuous Woman Proverbs 31:10 – Verse Discussion

A Virtuous Woman Proverbs 31:10 – Verse Discussion In this series I am going to discuss each verse from 31:10-31, using the King James Version. One could say as far as discussion on these particular verses, it has been done, and it has, yet I feel compelled to contribute a bit further to the vast body of works written on or inspired by these Proverbs identifying a virtuous woman because we so desperately need to reclaim our natural feminine essence in this rapidly changing world. Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The question posed by the author some thousands of years ago is not only as potent today as it was when written but ever more so as women in their search for equal rights, androgyny, and individuality have unfortunately become cut off from our own natural inner feminine spirit. I know, it happened to me due to work and fads and many other factors. I had to work at regaining what I had lost. Let us lo

Crossing the Bridge to Women's Unity: Women Today

What does it mean to be a woman today?  It means the same thing as it did yesterday and as it will tomorrow.  Of all the women who have gone before, Who are you but just one more? Look in yourself, and you will find, The bridge that links us all through time.        Who are you? Chances are, you are a woman if you are reading this book. What does being a woman today mean, and what does being a woman mean? Do any of us ever really take the time out from our busy schedules to ponder these thoughts, or to ask what we represent in being women? Do we represent something in our woman's bodies, other than just the “opposite sex?” Certainly other women have asked these questions. It has come to my realization that women today are out of tune with being women and simply being what we are, women. What is that, and how are we supposed to be, and what took us away from what we should be, and most importantly, how do we get back there? There were the sexual r

Become Spiritually Empowered Like Never Before

Make a big hit to the ego, stop doing things you shouldn’t and pray for guidance Make a big hit to the ego, stop doing things you shouldn’t and pray for guidance You know that thing you do, where you go off half-cocked trying to force things to happen and then immediately lose your confidence or motivation? That is because it is not the plan for you. Stop now and instead become empowered in the Spirit. Spiritual growth and progress is gradual but on some occasions you will grow by leaps and bounds and sometimes there are things that you can do that will propel you with amazing, lightening-like results. The number one block to your spiritual empowerment is the ego. Period. No matter how much or how long you have battled the ego, it will always be a daily battle; however, when you truly begin to ask for God’s guidance in all matters with all your heart, strength and sincerity, then you will begin to see where you have been operating in ego. Once you see this for

When Your Problems Are Bigger Than You

Watch the video here or on my channel or read on for more: Sometimes our problems are bigger than we are and it seems no matter what we try, there is no way out, there is no solution. But there is always a solution. If your problems are bigger than you are, that is God’s way of telling you to turn them over to Him. He may even have allowed them for that very reason so that you will turn to Him, you will strengthen and your faith will develop.  Even if the problems do not go away immediately, or ever, you will have the strength of the Spirit to comfort and guide you through in ways you would have never imagined.  Turn it all over earnestly and just see what changes come into your life or into your heart. A Virtuous Woman

Not only does the Bible give us spiritual guidance but it also provides guidance for daily living. Wherever we stand in the feminine realm, goodness and hard work, caring and loving are qualities that we should all aspire to develop in our character and in our heart. Love, home, and family are still to this day the very core of the feminine essence though in they may come in a variety of packaging. Whether her she is in a home, out in the world, raising children or helping others, if we look deep enough, we will find these qualities as central in our very being as keepers of the hearth and flame; of nurturing, giving and caring, both at home and in the world.  These passages from Proverbs on a virtuous woman indeed remind and inspire all that is genuinely feminine.  Proverbs 31:10-31 King James Version (KJV) 10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need

June

I would like to take the first day of June out to buy her a hat. Seems like the thing to do, or something like that. Stop and sip tea, in girlish glee, With a simple toast to her warm summer breeze. She is an old friend with memories shared Of days gone by without a care, Thank her for those youthful days Beneath the Texas sky and its soft humid haze. Perhaps she would remember as well and think me her friend, And we could cherish her Junely smile once again.   copyright Cheryl Bruedigam 2018 Cheryl Yale-Bruedigam, CYI-250 Empowering Women Through Faith Books, videos, inspiration, divine guidance.
