Turn Neither to the Right Nor the Left

It has been the pattern of my life that some of my deepest, most insightful thoughts occur in the fall. Today was one of those days and provided much insight into the current political climate and state of affairs, cautioning me to stay focused straight ahead through verses like the following:  “Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.” Proverbs 4:27  Also “So you shall observe to do just as the LORD your God has commanded you; you shall not turn aside to the right or to the left. 33“You shall walk in all the way which the LORD your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may be well with you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which you will possess. Deuteronomy 5:32-33 Another, “And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.” Deuteronomy 28:14 “So be careful to do as the LORD your God has commanded you; you are not to turn

He Will Make My Feet Like Deer's Feet

There is a tree out my window with branches that look like a stag. I have been contemplating it for years. Sometimes I forget about it, others I see it. The tree stag has been jumping out at me recently again.  I looked it up and found a couple quotes on websites, “the stag came to symbolize God’s power, nobility, freedom and purity.” In Scottish lore, it symbolizes regeneration because of the antlers. “In the Christian imagination, the deer is a symbol of piety, devotion and of God taking care of his children: men.” “In it's simplest form, deer symbolize the joys of loving Christ intimately (Song of Songs 2:7). In biblical symbology, deer represent piety, devotion, and safety in God's care. They are a symbol of thirst and longing for the Lord. ... Deer feet are an analogy for our spiritual feet.”  There were also a couple saints associated with the stag as divine encounters. It basically represents something good in every culture, but I went with the Scottish

Keep Believing No Matter How Long it Takes

It’s just a little story. Forty-three years ago today, I lost someone very special to me. It pretty much did me in at such a young age. For a couple years, I asked every day for a sign; something, anything. There was nothing. I remember asking on that day; the birds were singing, the sun was still shining, someone was mowing a yard and life was carrying on yet to me, all was silent.  This morning I recalled that person and only a bit later while sitting at the window looking o ut into the trees to which I look every morning, there I saw it, a tiny redbird flitting through the trees and this time, instead of a tear, there was a smile. Keep on believing, no matter how long it takes, just keep believing. It may take years, it may take decades, it may take a lifetime, but the blessing and the healing will come if you believe.  About Cheryl Yale-Bruedigam Cheryl Yale-Bruedigam has been writing spiritually for thirty years. Letters To My Sisters - The Key

More Than You Can Bear?

In reflection this morning on the verse, 1 Cor 10:13, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation (shown in KJ Study Bible alternately as trials ) also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it,” that when we read this, most times we are looking for an external answer or help. We feel disappointed or let down when it does not magically appear, but it is probable that God is the escape. Simply turning to God is the way to bear it. Rather than always looking outwardly for help or escape, we may need to turn inward. It's not always about getting us out of the situation but sometimes is about getting us through it. God will always be with us and He is the way out or through even the worst of times. About Cheryl Yale-Bruedigam Cheryl Yale-Bruedigam has been writing spiritually for thirty years. With undergradu

Baptism by Fire - New Video

Watch here or on my channel Baptism by fire and the Holy Spirit. Beautiful depiction upon the feminine.  Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: Have you felt with all that you have been through in the trials of your spirit that you too were baptized by fire? It is the fire of purification. Once we commit to God, we receive these trials and are purified through the fire and the Holy Spirit where we emerge cleansed and pure, ready for the fresh start in the light of God.  Inspiring, uplifting women's music video. An Invitation to Peace through Biblical Teachings

There may be many ideas of attaining peace but for me the only path to peace has been through Biblical teachings, through God. Since I began reading the Bible three years ago after twenty years of studying almost every other religion, philosophy, teaching and mythology available, I have found it because the Bible guides us in an evolutionary way towards complete freedom, redemption and ultimately, the gifted peace attained through the Holy Spirit. If like me, you have sought understanding, growth and forgiveness to no avail, have turned over every stone, there is one other that waits, the one you have avoided, the one that looks comparable in size to reading the dictionary or the New York City phone book. It is the read that changed me and changed my life. Most importantly, it changed my outlook and perception while teaching me to find the peace much needed in today’s world because the need for peace never changes nor does the method of achieving it. Time to Nurture Turns Faith into Action

For many of us this health crisis has felt like we are just biding our time, but this can be a good thing. It gives us more time to focus on God and to increase and nourish our inner strength. With faith in God, everything we need is given us, all that we need is provided and in this we can be pleased and grateful, freeing us for other thoughts, activities and pursuits in our Divine work. God also gives and renews in us that child-like wonder which brings us even more joy and allows us to give and receive a more fruitful fulfillment in ourselves and in others. This crisis is also a good time to let go of the past while in a transitional phase. It is a given time to depart from old ways and bring in more of the new that we want and are meant to be in the light of Christ. Doing this will then bring us even more pleasure in His light and will strengthen our trust because we have put in the time to nurture our self and our relationship to Him. This gives us happiness in becomi
