When Your Problems Are Bigger Than You

Sometimes our problems are bigger than we are and it seems no matter what we try, there is no way out, there is no solution. But there is always a solution. If your problems are bigger than you are, that is God’s way of telling you to turn them over to Him. He may even have allowed them for that very reason so that you will turn to Him, you will strengthen and your faith will develop.

Even if the problems do not go away immediately, or ever, you will have the strength of the Spirit to comfort and guide you through in ways you would have never imagined.

Turn it all over earnestly and just see what changes come into your life or into your heart.

Enlightenment and Awakening Easier Than We Think

After decades of seeking enlightenment and awakening, I now understand that these things; these ideas, these concepts, have been so over complicated and made to seem as if they are a state unattainable to most. It is made to seem that that they are only to be achieved by the great masters. Though nothing is black and white, on the one hand, there may be degrees; but on the other hand can you be only partially awake? Partially enlightened? Either you are or you are not. As long as I was seeking to be, I was not, for seeking kept me so busy that I could not settle within myself long enough to wake up. And both terms are as simple as that: waking up, allowing the light of God to illuminate our spiritual sight. Words Across Time

Words linger. Whether it is audible, something spoken to us or something we read, words linger in our minds and stick like glue. Words are one of the few things that set us apart from all the other animals and living things, we can speak. Is it any wonder that the memory of a mother’s soft coo can so strongly calm and send us to the kitchen for a cup of coco or that the memory of a scolding can set us trembling? Words are positive, negative or neutral; neutral words have little effect but words of a positive or negative nature can lift up and inspire or tear down and destroy.
