An Invitation to Peace through Biblical Teachings

There may be many ideas of attaining peace but for me the only path to peace has been through Biblical teachings, through God. Since I began reading the Bible three years ago after twenty years of studying almost every other religion, philosophy, teaching and mythology available, I have found it because the Bible guides us in an evolutionary way towards complete freedom, redemption and ultimately, the gifted peace attained through the Holy Spirit. If like me, you have sought understanding, growth and forgiveness to no avail, have turned over every stone, there is one other that waits, the one you have avoided, the one that looks comparable in size to reading the dictionary or the New York City phone book. It is the read that changed me and changed my life. Most importantly, it changed my outlook and perception while teaching me to find the peace much needed in today’s world because the need for peace never changes nor does the method of achieving it. Choose Life, Choose Light: Avoiding and Healing the Darkness of Abortion

Choose Life, Choose Light : Avoiding and Healing the Darkness of Abortion is a new ebook. It is my story, written from personal experience of the four decades of darkness and destruction through which I suffered due to abortion. If you are considering abortion, I urge you to read my story. "For those considering abortion, please, know that if you do, someday, ten, twenty, thirty, forty or even fifty years from now, you will be in a puddle on the floor, curled and clutched in the greatest pain of your life trying to come to terms with the tragedy of your decision." If you have had an abortion, I also urge you to read this to find out how you can begin healing because the scars are so deep, we may not even know they are there.  It is my hope that the loss I suffered and the mistakes I made will help to steer someone clear of them, to help save future lives and to illuminate the darkness of all that is related to the horror of abortion. Time on Our Hands

Many of us are finding extra time on hand with stay-at-home orders, quarantines and social distancing. This offers us the opportunity to look at the work we do, are doing, or have done in light of the spirit, in light of our destiny and God's will. How will the work we do reflect back on who we are as a person? How we do that work is even more meaningful than the work itself at times; is it done with a smile, with kindness and compassion, with joy? We do truly want the fruit of our hands and labor to reflect the love, light and joy of the Holy Spirit in all we do and to those whose lives we touch. This is a part of our path to wholeness; when we are balanced and whole, we can do the work of God. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates. Proverbs 31:31 If during this time on hand, you are feeling dissatisfied with your work, are searching for more meaning or feeling a lack of purpose, turn to the bible wherein you will f

Not Taking Life for Granted

For decades, I took my life for granted; my days, my body, my health, my loved ones and now I am so sorry because I had to pay for it in many ways but the pay-off turned out to be the blessing. Through this I have learned the most powerful lesson a person could learn, not to take life in any way for granted. In my self-centeredness, I was an idiot. I didn’t know some things and those I did, I ignored. I am now completely repentant. This brought me to a gate through which I would not otherwise have gone, and for that I am more thankful than words can convey. Christ says it is a narrow gate; many are called but few will enter. “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Mat 7:13 KJV. Therefore, I cannot want to trade this suffering. I must be here now, doing this, to get on through the gate. I am not suffering because of the things I did or didn’t do, I am suffering because to become truly free, we must be on o

Sitting in God's Corner

It is unlikely that I have ever made a truly wise decision or Godly choice in my whole life; maybe marrying my husband whom I felt very spiritually strong about, but that’s about it. All the decisions I made at the root still boil down to myself, my desires.  Recently I have been thinking a lot on all the decisions we make in our lives that contribute to the future, to getting our self eventually backed into a corner from which there is no way out. That seemed what I had done.  Psalm 32:10 says there is only sorrow for those who refuse to listen to the word of God. That is what I did in refusing to make any wise or Godly decisions, it got me in the mess I am in (health, stress, struggling upstream), at least in part. I see it in other people’s lives but in some not at all. Perhaps that is the difference, Godly choices. But I know too that the corner I backed into is God’s corner and that is right where He wants me so that I become fully dependent upon Him (which I h

Understanding Suffering

When it comes to biblical teachings, one topic that I have just not been able to fully grasp has been that of our suffering, or suffering for Christ, our need to suffer, and so on, and how Paul was able to accept it and find the joy. And of course Christ himself taught of the suffering to come for believers. It has been a hard pill to understand and swallow, until now. Realization sitting in the un-air conditioned car in the summer heat: If the situation I am in is God’s will for my life, than my suffering in the situation is for Him . With that understanding, it gives the suffering value, purpose, reason and continued commitment not only to be able to endure, but willing to endure, and to endure joyfully. This realization was life-changing, mind-altering. Suddenly so much that has seemed so pointless now makes understandable sense.          Before the big realization yesterday, I had made a prayer saying that I understand that if and when God is ready to grant

The Hidden Gift within Your Affliction

Do you have an affliction? Are you searching for answers? Many of us suffer from afflictions, yet how many actually find the true answer or the hidden gift within? Sometimes I feel like I have been benched in the game of life seriously, for like a decade at least due to my health, and I think I am starting to want back in the game. There were thing I took for granted, didn’t appreciate, did wrongly. I have had to learn a lot of lessons. I have baby plants now that I am tending. I have heard that is a sign of healing (even if it was in a Sandra Bullock movie). Today I found an article on a man’s fatigue and chronic anemia, and started reading of how he began to see it as a gift, and I had just written down that very verse in my planner, 2 Cor 12:7-10, where Paul tells us to stop focusing on the handicap and begin appreciating the gift (MSG). The article ended abruptly saying if you want to read it, you have to subscribe to the magazine. That was daft but I get the mes

Releasing Self Rather Than Seeking True Self is Goal

The popular phrase seeking/finding your true self is deceptive and creates continual confusion because if we are in union with God, there is no need to seek the self . When we are trying to find our true self, it means that we are lost and disconnected, separated from God. The “seeking and finding” part keeps you going in circles. It’s about just being who you inherently are, not going through phase after phase, and I don’t mean creativity or work/career changes or projects. I mean fads and such that distract us from the ability to stay in union with God which is from where the real, the authentic self   (if you want to call it that) stems. As long as we are disconnected from that source, we will never be able to be that real self that we are continually seeking while feeling disconnected. The harder we try, the further away we drift. I was so consumed with seeking my true self , that I became completely self-absorbed. In my life I have sought and sought but

Lead by Example

Read the article below or watch the video here or on my channel Was thinking of the idea of leading by example and I think that’s one aspect of what it means to walk as children of light. Ephesians 5:8 says, “For ye were sometimes in darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.” In our “walk” we are physically setting an example by each action for others to observe. Each of us has way more influential ability than we may realize. Whether it is in our home to our loved ones and children, our work, our community, in church, and most especially these days, on social media, we are constantly setting an example by our actions. It is important therefore that we constantly review our actions to make sure they align with all that is good and just and light. It is easy to slip off into negativity as we allow others to influence us rather than the other way around where we should be influencing them. Stop frequently throughout the day to re-s
