Maybe January has a beauty unseen, unheard, unknown.
Reclusive, hushed, as it crouches ‘neath the hardness of
winter.
Maybe January needs a break too after the Christmas
holidays.
Wiped out, exhausted and weary, it crawls to a quiet corner
to subside.
Merriment has joined the Easter bunny in a far-off place,
While small birds and animals struggle to survive the
falling snow.
I will sit with January, as with an old friend,
Knowing that peace, revival, balmy breezes and sunshine
Are but a twinkle away, as is another January day.
