Rewards of the Spirit

As I move forward on my spiritual journey of life (and that is what this blog is about), it is my intent to share more of my personal experiences that are not always in my books or at my official site, What If WE are the Angels. Here I am trying to dig a little deeper in so that what I experience may help others as I share my growth.

Have you ever woken with an excitement for the day? We all have at times but for me it has been rare as I have spent much of my life in depression even though I strive to heal and be happy.

This morning I felt an excitement for the day when I was waking even though it was cloudy (which is also rare because I am one of those people who can get even more depressed on a cloudy day).

It’s my year end, my birthday week, and I am looking forward to a new year, a new me filled with love and joy, moving forward with new opportunities, creativity and maybe a little adventure; and mostly, a new outlook on life. Today, this day, I ask for a clean slate, to be forgiven for all I have said and done to others that was hurtful or wrong.

The angels tell me, the holy spirit is filling you with recompense. I think this means many things in spiritual terms but I also know that it confirms my feelings of trying to restore or heal things that I have broken or hurt; feelings, relationships, hearts, minds, souls, which I have been working on this year.

Recompense in this spiritual sense means:
1. make amends to (someone) for loss or harm suffered; compensate.
"offenders should recompense their victims"
synonyms:       compensate, indemnify, repay, reimburse, make reparation to, make restitution to, make amends to
"offenders should recompense their victims"
noun
1. compensation or reward given for loss or harm suffered or effort made.

Recompense is used in the Bible: In the Biblical sense, To repay; reward; restore.
“The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he RECOMPENSED me. For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.” ( Psalm 18:20-21 )

Today I receive my recompense in joy as I walk forward with a clear heart.

We all receive our recompense in many ways. What are some ways that you feel grateful for the recompense you may have received? If you do not feel that you have yet received it, all you need do is ask today. Ask for forgiveness in earnest, meditate on it, pray about it and then open to receive the gifts and rewards of the Holy Spirit as your heart is cleansed and freed.

Let angels guide thy path.

Get your journey on! Your soul-journey.

Bible Will Teach You How to Know Your Enemy; Know Your Self

When we study the Word, and we are given the ears to hear, and the ability to discern, we can then be confident of the truth from wherever it comes. Last night in re-watching the movie, “Birth of the Dragon,” I was able to understand so much more due to my Bible studies. From the movie, “Lesson number one, know your enemy. Lesson number two, know your self. With these two principles, you need never fear a thousand battles.” This was so heavy and so profound and I got it on such a deep spiritual level regarding all facets of life (not just regarding two men in physical combat). The Bible has shown me how to know my enemy and to know my self and therefore not fear. When we truly understand that we are an eternal child of God, then we know our self . When we understand that anyone or thing (including our own thoughts) that is not in the light of God is of the darkness (even those lost in the gray), then we know our enemy.  Jesus said in Mathew 12:30, “He t...

He Will Make My Feet Like Deer's Feet

There is a tree out my window with branches that look like a stag. I have been contemplating it for years. Sometimes I forget about it, others I see it. The tree stag has been jumping out at me recently again.  I looked it up and found a couple quotes on websites, “the stag came to symbolize God’s power, nobility, freedom and purity.” In Scottish lore, it symbolizes regeneration because of the antlers. “In the Christian imagination, the deer is a symbol of piety, devotion and of God taking care of his children: men.” “In it's simplest form, deer symbolize the joys of loving Christ intimately (Song of Songs 2:7). In biblical symbology, deer represent piety, devotion, and safety in God's care. They are a symbol of thirst and longing for the Lord. ... Deer feet are an analogy for our spiritual feet.”  There were also a couple saints associated with the stag as divine encounters. It basically represents something good in every culture, but I went with the Scottish...
