After Thanksgiving Good Segway for Pre-Holiday Contemplation

Today was a blessed day for me and I hope it was for you as well. Though most people are sitting around with their feet up, feeling full, relaxing and perhaps watching the first Christmas movie of the season, after Thanksgiving is really a good time to contemplate your blessings, contemplate with gratitude all of the blessings that you received today.

It is also a good seg-way period before the holiday season kicks into full swing to reflect on how you would truly like to spend the holiday season. Ask yourself questions that will help you to create and experience your ideal season. How can you cut down on stress or or chaos? How can you add more quiet time and real joy to the season? What can you do differently this year? How can you help or bring joy to others during the holiday season? How can you celebrate without over-spending? How can you celebrate the true meaning of the season?

These are just a few suggestions, you will have your own reflections and thoughts but the point is to improve any stressful aspects while bringing in more joy and the peace of the season. Peace, love, joy, giving, compassion, are what it is all about after all and the more we can do to bring these into the holiday season while cutting down on stress and chaos, the happier and more peace-filled we will be.

 Let angels guide thy path.

Bible Will Teach You How to Know Your Enemy; Know Your Self

When we study the Word, and we are given the ears to hear, and the ability to discern, we can then be confident of the truth from wherever it comes. Last night in re-watching the movie, “Birth of the Dragon,” I was able to understand so much more due to my Bible studies. From the movie, “Lesson number one, know your enemy. Lesson number two, know your self. With these two principles, you need never fear a thousand battles.” This was so heavy and so profound and I got it on such a deep spiritual level regarding all facets of life (not just regarding two men in physical combat). The Bible has shown me how to know my enemy and to know my self and therefore not fear. When we truly understand that we are an eternal child of God, then we know our self . When we understand that anyone or thing (including our own thoughts) that is not in the light of God is of the darkness (even those lost in the gray), then we know our enemy.  Jesus said in Mathew 12:30, “He t...

The Process of Healing - From the Spirit to the Body

One thing I have realized recently is how the spiritual healing process works, at least for me. The spirit gets uplifted, and when the spirit gets uplifted, the mind gets uplifted and when the mind gets uplifted, the body has to follow suit. This is spiritual healing. But we have to allow the Holy Spirit to uplift us, and as I have seen (and written about previously) in research, the root of the word believe, is to allow . When all blocks to our belief are removed, then we can allow the healing. So before we can receive any healing, we have to remove the blocks. We do this by asking in prayer for the blocks to be revealed and removed, and then once they are revealed we see them clearly for what they are and we no longer allow them to remain in our “spiritual sight” so to speak. We can then allow our self to be uplifted and the healing process begins; in the spirit, in the mind, and finally, in the body. It may take continual work, daily or even hourly. It is not somet...
