Choosing Faith; Full Faith Ahead

My faith has always been strong but also a battle to maintain. I was really wondering this morning why every single day has to be such a battle for me to have faith; overcoming fears seems to be my biggest challenge. I thought nature, nurture, whatever, but I think at least in my own case, it is because I chose to live on faith, there is nothing else to fall back on, there is no Plan B. Possibly people who work every day nine to five, get a regular paycheck, have health insurance, have a false sense of security in that at some level they believe that they are somewhat in control of their lives. In a sense they have a Plan B to fall back on, insurance, retirement, etc., but even those things can fall through as many discover. I didn’t go that path; I went the path of faith, day to day and it is not the easy path and there is nothing to fall back on except having more faith.

You would think by now I would be pretty good at it, and I am much better, I bounce back way more quickly but there is always a constant battle to keep the fear and negativity at bay. It takes effort, for me at least, to stay positive and in the light but at the same time it is also something that is an integral part of me that will not allow me to ever do otherwise so whatever the fear or dilemma, I push past it and keep moving on. Usually at some point, I will receive a sign and then the relief will flood through me and I am once again, renewed in my faith.

How do you strengthen your faith day-to-day?

Some other things I do include:

  • To ask; ask God, the angels, for clarity, help and guidance

  • Find something uplifting and inspirational to read

  • Meditate and spend time in prayer to clear my head and to receive answers or Divine guidance.

  • Spend time in nature.

  • Keep little visual reminders throughout the house

  • Wait; wait on Divine timing and trust.

Let angels guide thy path.

Get your journey on! Your soul-journey.

Bible Will Teach You How to Know Your Enemy; Know Your Self

When we study the Word, and we are given the ears to hear, and the ability to discern, we can then be confident of the truth from wherever it comes. Last night in re-watching the movie, “Birth of the Dragon,” I was able to understand so much more due to my Bible studies. From the movie, “Lesson number one, know your enemy. Lesson number two, know your self. With these two principles, you need never fear a thousand battles.” This was so heavy and so profound and I got it on such a deep spiritual level regarding all facets of life (not just regarding two men in physical combat). The Bible has shown me how to know my enemy and to know my self and therefore not fear. When we truly understand that we are an eternal child of God, then we know our self . When we understand that anyone or thing (including our own thoughts) that is not in the light of God is of the darkness (even those lost in the gray), then we know our enemy.  Jesus said in Mathew 12:30, “He t...

He Will Make My Feet Like Deer's Feet

There is a tree out my window with branches that look like a stag. I have been contemplating it for years. Sometimes I forget about it, others I see it. The tree stag has been jumping out at me recently again.  I looked it up and found a couple quotes on websites, “the stag came to symbolize God’s power, nobility, freedom and purity.” In Scottish lore, it symbolizes regeneration because of the antlers. “In the Christian imagination, the deer is a symbol of piety, devotion and of God taking care of his children: men.” “In it's simplest form, deer symbolize the joys of loving Christ intimately (Song of Songs 2:7). In biblical symbology, deer represent piety, devotion, and safety in God's care. They are a symbol of thirst and longing for the Lord. ... Deer feet are an analogy for our spiritual feet.”  There were also a couple saints associated with the stag as divine encounters. It basically represents something good in every culture, but I went with the Scottish...
