You are an Expression of the Divine

Divinely love yourself for you are an expression of the Divine.

Gosh we kind of think it is uncool to love ourselves but in fact that is exactly what we should do because we are a physical expression of the Divine Spirit that not only created us but is the spark of pure life but that lives within us. By honoring our whole self, loving our whole self, caring for our whole self, we become our best and we honor and love the Spirit within that is us.

This is especially true and acceptable when we think of our bodies as the temple that houses our Spirit. We are told in 1 Corinthians 6:19, "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;" and in

1 Corinthians 3:16, "Do you not know that you yourselves are God's temple, and that God's Spirit dwells in you?"

This is what God wants for us, to love ourselves in a Divinely manner because our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit.

It's OK. Be good to yourself, love yourself for as you love yourself, you love God and all that you are and were made to be.

When we study the Word, and we are given the ears to hear, and the ability to discern, we can then be confident of the truth from wherever it comes. Last night in re-watching the movie, “Birth of the Dragon,” I was able to understand so much more due to my Bible studies. From the movie, “Lesson number one, know your enemy. Lesson number two, know your self. With these two principles, you need never fear a thousand battles.” This was so heavy and so profound and I got it on such a deep spiritual level regarding all facets of life (not just regarding two men in physical combat). He Will Make My Feet Like Deer's Feet

There is a tree out my window with branches that look like a stag. I have been contemplating it for years. Sometimes I forget about it, others I see it. The tree stag has been jumping out at me recently again. I looked it up and found a couple quotes on websites, “the stag came to symbolize God’s power, nobility, freedom and purity.” In Scottish lore, it symbolizes regeneration because of the antlers. “In the Christian imagination, the deer is a symbol of piety, devotion and of God taking care of his children: men.” “In it's simplest form, deer symbolize the joys of loving Christ intimately (Song of Songs 2:7). In biblical symbology, deer represent piety, devotion, and safety in God's care. They are a symbol of thirst and longing for the Lord. ...
