Little Fairy by the Flowers

Little fairy by the flowers,

Sits and waits and counts the hours,

Yet did she know the busy bee,

Had spread its pollen to the sea?

Little fairy by the flowers

Has now discovered her own powers,

To spread her wings far and wide,

She knows her magic lies inside.

Little fairy holds the key

To all she’d ever dreamed could be.

And now that she’s unlocked the gate,

Her dreams no longer have to wait.

Little fairy learned to see,

to be the best that she could be,

required her only to believe,

that all her dreams, she could receive.

Little Fairy, sings her song,

Dancing in the moonlit dawn,

Her heart now filled with merry glee,

She spreads her magic to the sea.

Enlightenment and Awakening Easier Than We Think

After decades of seeking enlightenment and awakening, I now understand that these things; these ideas, these concepts, have been so over complicated and made to seem as if they are a state unattainable to most. It is made to seem that that they are only to be achieved by the great masters. Though nothing is black and white, on the one hand, there may be degrees; but on the other hand can you be only partially awake? Partially enlightened? Either you are or you are not. As long as I was seeking to be, I was not, for seeking kept me so busy that I could not settle within myself long enough to wake up. And both terms are as simple as that: waking up, allowing the light of God to illuminate our spiritual sight. There are no fireworks, it is not some un-achievable level (like some religions and philosophies would have us believe). It is a simple matter of waking up. Words Across Time

Words linger. Whether it is audible, something spoken to us or something we read, words linger in our minds and stick like glue. Words are one of the few things that set us apart from all the other animals and living things, we can speak. Is it any wonder that the memory of a mother’s soft coo can so strongly calm and send us to the kitchen for a cup of coco or that the memory of a scolding can set us trembling? Words are positive, negative or neutral; neutral words have little effect but words of a positive or negative nature can lift up and inspire or tear down and destroy. In a sense, they are our strongest power and thus the power of words move with us across time.
