Walk On: Changes and Moving Forward in a Spiritual Life

Inevitably throughout life, we change, we grow and we move forward and to do this, we must let go of many things. I can't even begin to tell you how much I have changed just in the past two years. Reading the Bible changed me and changed my life. It changed me into who I am supposed to be.

Sometimes people in our life do not want to see us change, even if it is for the better; they do not understand the changes because they are not walking our path, they are at their own place on their path. Do not let others discourage you and do not let the past hold you back from walking on into your new life, your new you. Even though outwardly there may not be any visible changes in your life such as where you live or work, there are changes taking place inward that must be nurtured and allowed to flourish.

We all change but especially when we make the commitment to a spiritual life. We are made new in the light of God. Psalm 102:26, “ . . . as a vesture shalt Thou change them, and they shall be changed.”  We are also told in 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” We are made new, we are changed. We need to free ourselves from anything that will hinder these changes so that we can give all that we have to give to our new life, to God and to others.

During these changes, you can feel the eyes upon you but no matter, simply gaze back through the eyes of God and you will no longer fear the change or the opinion of others. Flourish in your changes and in the new light of God because you have been chosen to spread the light, let the others remain on their path, you dear one are now on the road to eternal grace and you must free yourself to walk it.

A prayer to help:
Heavenly Father, help me to release any person or thing that may be a hindrance to my growth in your divine will and to truly understand that all that I am henceforth is of your making in re-creating me in your true and perfect light. Amen.

May we all grow forward in the Spirit of the Lord. Walk on.

Bible Will Teach You How to Know Your Enemy; Know Your Self

When we study the Word, and we are given the ears to hear, and the ability to discern, we can then be confident of the truth from wherever it comes. Last night in re-watching the movie, “Birth of the Dragon,” I was able to understand so much more due to my Bible studies. From the movie, “Lesson number one, know your enemy. Lesson number two, know your self. With these two principles, you need never fear a thousand battles.” This was so heavy and so profound and I got it on such a deep spiritual level regarding all facets of life (not just regarding two men in physical combat). The Bible has shown me how to know my enemy and to know my self and therefore not fear. When we truly understand that we are an eternal child of God, then we know our self . When we understand that anyone or thing (including our own thoughts) that is not in the light of God is of the darkness (even those lost in the gray), then we know our enemy.  Jesus said in Mathew 12:30, “He t...

He Will Make My Feet Like Deer's Feet

There is a tree out my window with branches that look like a stag. I have been contemplating it for years. Sometimes I forget about it, others I see it. The tree stag has been jumping out at me recently again.  I looked it up and found a couple quotes on websites, “the stag came to symbolize God’s power, nobility, freedom and purity.” In Scottish lore, it symbolizes regeneration because of the antlers. “In the Christian imagination, the deer is a symbol of piety, devotion and of God taking care of his children: men.” “In it's simplest form, deer symbolize the joys of loving Christ intimately (Song of Songs 2:7). In biblical symbology, deer represent piety, devotion, and safety in God's care. They are a symbol of thirst and longing for the Lord. ... Deer feet are an analogy for our spiritual feet.”  There were also a couple saints associated with the stag as divine encounters. It basically represents something good in every culture, but I went with the Scottish...
