Recently, I kept catching myself being judgmental; and
worse, I was doing it while I also judged others of being judgmental. Wow, really?
Who me? Additionally, I was judging others by assuming that they were going to judge me and this I have come to see was a negative block in keeping me from moving forward. Oh what a tangled web we weave.
Finding and accepting fault in our self is never easy. It is probably safe to assume that I have always been this way and am now noticing as I further evolve in the light. It is possible that there has been an increase due to my participation in social media where before I was rarely exposed to the public opinions of the masses. I also currently live in a closer-knit community than I ever have before where I am exposed more closely to many more people. Never mind the excuses, whatever the case, it has shown itself in my Divine list of things to correct.

This is something we all do, isn’t it? We do not intend to,
we really sometimes mean no harm. Our mind is geared to make judgments of
course; judgments that assist us in daily living. We are making judgments every
moment of the day for our survival and well being. It is when we use this tool
to negatively judge others, or even to pre-judge (prejudice), then we are
misusing the tool. I am guilty, we are all guilty.
Overcoming this vice is simple in theory, it requires first
awareness (such as I am experiencing), then re-programming the mind to simply
observe rather than judge. Sending a kind thought to the person helps to turn a
negative into a positive. Saying a quick prayer can be helpful as well. Just
stay on top of it and in awareness.
Jesus said, “Judge not, that ye be not judged.” Matthew 7:1
(KJV). In allowing ourselves to emit love to all, judgment cannot be a factor
or then we become selective to whom we send or give love and this is crucial,
for as He also said in John 13:34, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye
love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” (KJV).
Therefore if we are being judgmental in any way, we cannot fully love one
another.
We must stop all judgment that is harmful to others so that
we can move from judgment to love.
