Autumn: a time for contemplation

For me, fall is a time of contemplation though it usually begins early, mid-to-late August and continues to around mid-November. This is a time to draw in as the days shorten; in days of old, the harvest was made in preparation for winter, thus is our own harvest within.

The year is coming to a close and all that we have thought, sought, acted on, received, given and produced is accumulated upon the soul and so with it we should review, give thanks, keep what is good and cast away that which was not as we go into the dark of the seasons to ready ourselves for a new year.

Google Dictonary defines contemplation as such:
con·tem·pla·tion, kän(t)əmˈplāSH(ə), noun
the action of looking thoughtfully at something for a long time.

deep reflective thought.

the state of being thought about or planned.

Contemplation is a natural process of the soul to which we should devote ample time in consideration of our thoughts, actions and deeds, our desires and commitments and to where we are placing our focus and time. With regular contemplation time even daily, we are able to more clearly see the path of our Divine purpose. As contemplation time is important daily, even more so is it important at the close of the year. Autumn brings the falling of leaves, the birds flying south, and the ever-changing attributes of nature with which we are one. We should ask our self if we have indeed been acting as we should, if we have given all that we are able, if we have done the work we are here to do as well as to contemplate our oneness with nature and All that Is though the Spirit of the Creator.

Take the time this autumn to reflect on all that is good and wise, heartfelt and loving in your life. Refresh and revive through the art of contemplation. Give thanks and be of gratitude for all that you have and all that you are.

Get your journey on! Your soul-journey.

Bible Will Teach You How to Know Your Enemy; Know Your Self

When we study the Word, and we are given the ears to hear, and the ability to discern, we can then be confident of the truth from wherever it comes. Last night in re-watching the movie, “Birth of the Dragon,” I was able to understand so much more due to my Bible studies. From the movie, “Lesson number one, know your enemy. Lesson number two, know your self. With these two principles, you need never fear a thousand battles.” This was so heavy and so profound and I got it on such a deep spiritual level regarding all facets of life (not just regarding two men in physical combat). The Bible has shown me how to know my enemy and to know my self and therefore not fear. When we truly understand that we are an eternal child of God, then we know our self . When we understand that anyone or thing (including our own thoughts) that is not in the light of God is of the darkness (even those lost in the gray), then we know our enemy.  Jesus said in Mathew 12:30, “He t...

When You Feel the Tension Coming

When you feel the tension coming, just relax, breathe through it. Relax the whole body and float. You know how to maneuver this. You can do it. ************************************************************************ From author, Angel Intuitive & Yoga Instructor,  Cheryl Yale-Bruedigam, CYI-250 Empowering YOU for a happier,soul-filled life About Cheryl Yale Bruedigam Cheryl Yale Bruedigam, the angels’ author, has been writing spiritually for thirty years. He Will Make My Feet Like Deer's Feet

There is a tree out my window with branches that look like a stag. I have been contemplating it for years. Sometimes I forget about it, others I see it. The tree stag has been jumping out at me recently again.  I looked it up and found a couple quotes on websites, “the stag came to symbolize God’s power, nobility, freedom and purity.” In Scottish lore, it symbolizes regeneration because of the antlers. “In the Christian imagination, the deer is a symbol of piety, devotion and of God taking care of his children: men.” “In it's simplest form, deer symbolize the joys of loving Christ intimately (Song of Songs 2:7). In biblical symbology, deer represent piety, devotion, and safety in God's care. They are a symbol of thirst and longing for the Lord. ... Deer feet are an analogy for our spiritual feet.”  There were also a couple saints associated with the stag as divine encounters. It basically represents something good in every culture, but I went with the Scottish...
