Sisterhood

Among women there lies a mysterious link, something that binds us together and from this bond a magical flow emits. At times it escapes when we are not looking, at other times we are very aware of it as it releases its flow freely.   This is our sisterhood.

Maybe you have a certain female friend or relative with whom this energy exchange is strong.  It could be because with this woman, for what ever reason, your heart is open, as is hers. Perhaps this is something that you have witnessed many times in your life but you have not fully experienced it yourself complete with the awareness of exactly what is taking place. When we are walled off from our emotions, they do not flow freely.  We may not even feel them, much less allow them free reign toward others.

The only thing worse than a closed mind is a closed heart.  Open up to your own feminine self and to others.  When you do, you will begin to see the transmission of energy that flows between you and those with whom you connect.  Even though others may not be aware of what is taking place, they will be affected by your positive feelings.

Words Across Time

Words linger. Whether it is audible, something spoken to us or something we read, words linger in our minds and stick like glue. Words are one of the few things that set us apart from all the other animals and living things, we can speak. Is it any wonder that the memory of a mother’s soft coo can so strongly calm and send us to the kitchen for a cup of coco or that the memory of a scolding can set us trembling? Words are positive, negative or neutral; neutral words have little effect but words of a positive or negative nature can lift up and inspire or tear down and destroy. In a sense, they are our strongest power and thus the power of words move with us across time. St. Catherine Christine de Pisan Whether I am reading the Bible or an ancient manuscript crafted out a thousand or more years ago by isolated monks on some remote island or a contemporary twentieth century author who has now passed, it never ceases to amaze me that I get to hear their thoughts acr...

The Process of Healing - From the Spirit to the Body

One thing I have realized recently is how the spiritual healing process works, at least for me. The spirit gets uplifted, and when the spirit gets uplifted, the mind gets uplifted and when the mind gets uplifted, the body has to follow suit. This is spiritual healing. But we have to allow the Holy Spirit to uplift us, and as I have seen (and written about previously) in research, the root of the word believe, is to allow . When all blocks to our belief are removed, then we can allow the healing. So before we can receive any healing, we have to remove the blocks. We do this by asking in prayer for the blocks to be revealed and removed, and then once they are revealed we see them clearly for what they are and we no longer allow them to remain in our “spiritual sight” so to speak. We can then allow our self to be uplifted and the healing process begins; in the spirit, in the mind, and finally, in the body. It may take continual work, daily or even hourly. It is not somet...
