He Will Make My Feet Like Deer's Feet

There is a tree out my window with branches that look like a stag. I have been contemplating it for years. Sometimes I forget about it, others I see it. The tree stag has been jumping out at me recently again.

I looked it up and found a couple quotes on websites, “the stag came to symbolize God’s power, nobility, freedom and purity.” In Scottish lore, it symbolizes regeneration because of the antlers. “In the Christian imagination, the deer is a symbol of piety, devotion and of God taking care of his children: men.” “In it's simplest form, deer symbolize the joys of loving Christ intimately (Song of Songs 2:7). In biblical symbology, deer represent piety, devotion, and safety in God's care. They are a symbol of thirst and longing for the Lord. ... Deer feet are an analogy for our spiritual feet.”

There were also a couple saints associated with the stag as divine encounters. It basically represents something good in every culture, but I went with the Scottish (due to my Celtic heritage) and the Christian. To me, the stag speaks of regeneration and God's care.
I am honored and humbled at the appearance of this majestic creature.

God speaks to us through all of nature. In what way is He speaking to you? Allow yourself some time in nature to contemplate this question and to re-connect in the serenity of His beautiful creation.

Two verses about the stag are:
Ps 18:33 He makes my feet like hinds' feet, and sets me upon my high places.
Habakkuk 3:19 The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like deer's feet, and he will make me walk upon my high places.
