It’s just a little story. Forty-three years ago today, I lost someone very special to me. It pretty much did me in at such a young age. For a couple years, I asked every day for a sign; something, anything. There was nothing. I remember asking on that day; the birds were singing, the sun was still shining, someone was mowing a yard and life was carrying on yet to me, all was silent.
This morning I recalled that person and only a bit later while sitting at the window looking out into the trees to which I look every morning, there I saw it, a tiny redbird flitting through the trees and this time, instead of a tear, there was a smile.
Keep on believing, no matter how long it takes, just keep believing. It may take years, it may take decades, it may take a lifetime, but the blessing and the healing will come if you believe.
