Start Your Own Power-Journal

Maybe it is time you started to keep a journal, but not just any journal like where you went or what you did, but rather a power-journal. A power-journal is based on your own individuality, spirituality and creativity. Rather than a day-by-day documentation of your life (although that may certainly be included), a power journal is healing, therapeutic, spiritually stimulating, creatively inspiring, and offers you your own self-help by being able to examine patterns, thoughts, dreams and your innermost feelings as well as fears. If you are open and ready, it may even offer a place where you can speak directly to God, the angels, your higher self, your ancestors or ascended masters because you never know what will begin to reveal itself as you begin to write. It will offer you encouragement; it will support you and your goals. A power-journal is empowering.

It does not matter if you consider yourself a writer or that you do not have goals to become a writer, what matters is it offers you a place to study, create and grow as you move along your journey in life.

Use your power-journal to record your dreams, feelings, thoughts, unique experiences, fears, questions and anything else that is pertinent to your overall growth and well-being.

Inside us lies a wealth,
Worth not to some the journey to discover,
Though richer than the wealth,
Be the journey itself.

Just as you would in your head, record those innermost thoughts. Examining these types of thoughts will propel your spiritual growth and increase your own spiritual power as you begin to tear down the wall separating you and your higher self which is the pathway to the Divine. Beginning to understand and see the blocks that you have stowed away over a lifetime will help you to see what to keep and what to discard in terms of negativity, emotions, fears, past baggage. Your power-journal will act as your teacher and your guide, helping you to maneuver the waters of the sub-conscious toward the shore of healing.

This is the beginning of an exciting journey, the journey inward and onward. This is the journey to the real you and to uncovering the power to be and express your true self.

Bible Will Teach You How to Know Your Enemy; Know Your Self

When we study the Word, and we are given the ears to hear, and the ability to discern, we can then be confident of the truth from wherever it comes. Last night in re-watching the movie, “Birth of the Dragon,” I was able to understand so much more due to my Bible studies. From the movie, “Lesson number one, know your enemy. Lesson number two, know your self. With these two principles, you need never fear a thousand battles.” This was so heavy and so profound and I got it on such a deep spiritual level regarding all facets of life (not just regarding two men in physical combat). The Bible has shown me how to know my enemy and to know my self and therefore not fear. When we truly understand that we are an eternal child of God, then we know our self . When we understand that anyone or thing (including our own thoughts) that is not in the light of God is of the darkness (even those lost in the gray), then we know our enemy.  Jesus said in Mathew 12:30, “He t...

He Will Make My Feet Like Deer's Feet

There is a tree out my window with branches that look like a stag. I have been contemplating it for years. Sometimes I forget about it, others I see it. The tree stag has been jumping out at me recently again.  I looked it up and found a couple quotes on websites, “the stag came to symbolize God’s power, nobility, freedom and purity.” In Scottish lore, it symbolizes regeneration because of the antlers. “In the Christian imagination, the deer is a symbol of piety, devotion and of God taking care of his children: men.” “In it's simplest form, deer symbolize the joys of loving Christ intimately (Song of Songs 2:7). In biblical symbology, deer represent piety, devotion, and safety in God's care. They are a symbol of thirst and longing for the Lord. ... Deer feet are an analogy for our spiritual feet.”  There were also a couple saints associated with the stag as divine encounters. It basically represents something good in every culture, but I went with the Scottish...
